About James.

I write stories for people who have ever felt like outsiders. My work is character-driven, empathetic, and unafraid to dig into the quieter rebellions and hidden struggles that shape us as people.

My debut book, Wednesday’s Child, grew out of my own experience of life with a disability in rural Ireland. Since then, I’ve been building an independent path as both an author and creative. From essays and journalism to novels and eco-conscious projects.

Before fully embracing authorship, I studied Journalism and New Media at the University of Limerick, where I learned how to dig beneath the surface of a story. That training still guides me, though these days I prefer to chase down the stories fiction can tell.

Through my books, newsletter, and upcoming podcast, I’m creating a space where stories feel like home. For readers who want honesty, depth, and connection.

Come along for the journey.
